Karachi authorities have implemented speed limit signs along Shahrah-e-Faisal following the launch of the city’s e-challan system, aiming to regulate traffic and improve road safety. Deputy Superintendent of Police (Admin) Kashif Nadeem confirmed that cars and jeeps must adhere to a 60 km/h speed limit, while heavy vehicles such as buses and trucks are restricted to 30 km/h. Motorcycles are also limited to 60 km/h.

Vehicles exceeding these prescribed limits will be automatically fined through e-challan cameras installed along the route. The Sindh government introduced the e-challan system to enforce traffic regulations more effectively, emphasizing the protection of citizens and their property. Despite criticism from opposition parties and some members of the public, Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon highlighted that safeguarding lives and property remains the provincial government’s top priority.
