International students seeking to study in Australia can apply for the Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship 2026, an opportunity designed to support talented students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degrees. The scholarship aims to recognize high academic achievers and provide them with financial assistance, professional exposure, and opportunities to develop skills that contribute to career growth and personal development. Eligible students can receive a 50 percent or full tuition fee waiver, helping reduce the cost of obtaining an international degree while gaining valuable experience in a multicultural environment.

The scholarship provides participants with access to the Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program, priority consideration for on-campus accommodation where available, and opportunities to build a global network of peers and professionals. It is designed for students with consistently strong academic records and the potential to contribute to Deakin University and the wider community. By participating, students can gain international exposure, broaden their perspectives, and enhance career prospects.

Applicants must be new international students enrolling in a Deakin coursework degree, meet the English language requirements, and have achieved at least an 85 percent average or equivalent in prior studies. Undergraduate applicants must have a minimum IELTS score of 6.0, while postgraduate applicants must meet a minimum IELTS score of 6.5. Students enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine (H911) program are not eligible. If a candidate is not selected for the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship, they will automatically be considered for the Deakin International Scholarship.

To apply, students must complete an application form, provide a personal statement of around 300 words, submit two reference letters demonstrating leadership or community involvement, attach academic transcripts, course application details, and any relevant extracurricular or work experience. Applications should be submitted to Deakin International Admissions at least one month before the course start date to ensure consideration. The scholarship covers partial to full tuition fees, access to professional development programs, and opportunities for networking and global exposure. This scholarship is an excellent chance for international students to pursue higher education in Australia while developing skills that support a successful global career.
