The government has announced refunds totaling Rs3.45 billion for more than 66,000 pilgrims who performed Hajj last year, following cost savings in accommodation, meals, and transportation. Refund amounts will vary between Rs12,000 and Rs110,000 based on the facilities used and will be disbursed through direct bank transfers by October 31.
For Hajj 2026, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has set the 40-day package at Rs1.15 million and the shorter 25-day package at Rs1.2 million. Pilgrims will also receive travel bags, SIM cards, and enhanced pre-departure training.
Officials said the move is part of a broader initiative to improve convenience, transparency, and service quality for all future pilgrims, ensuring that savings and operational efficiencies directly benefit participants.
