OnePlus 15T Leak Reveals Larger Battery and Faster Display Features

The upcoming OnePlus 15T is expected to launch in China around April, following a schedule similar to its predecessor, the OnePlus 13T, according to tipster Digital Chat Station. At this stage, it remains unclear whether the device will be released internationally or which markets outside China might receive it.

One of the most significant upgrades expected for the OnePlus 15T is a much larger battery. The phone is tipped to feature a 7,000mAh battery, with reports suggesting OnePlus may push it to 7,500mAh. This could follow a similar pattern to the previous China-India split seen with the OnePlus 13T, which launched in India with a smaller 5,850mAh battery compared to 6,260mAh in the Chinese version.

The device is expected to feature a flat 6.3-inch LTPS OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a higher 165Hz refresh rate, an upgrade from the 120Hz LTPO panel of the 13T. It will reportedly include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for improved biometric security.

Performance is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, with the full Elite variant likely used. The phone may also carry an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. OnePlus is expected to offer a magnetic snap-on case for accessories, similar to previous models, though wireless charging is not expected.

Camera upgrades appear limited, with the telephoto lens retaining the 50MP Samsung JN5 sensor from the previous model. Details on the main camera remain unconfirmed, and there is no indication of a third rear camera being added.

Market availability outside China remains uncertain. If launched internationally, the OnePlus 15T is expected to compete with upcoming devices such as the Xiaomi 17 Pro, vivo X300, and Oppo Find X9s, while the previously rumored iQOO 15 mini may no longer enter this segment.
