Security Forces Kill 11 Militants in Balochistan Operations

Security sources reported that security forces killed 11 militants in two different operations conducted in Turbat and Mastung districts of Balochistan. All militants were described as India-backed by the sources.

In Mastung’s Kank Valley area, nine militants were killed during an operation after the group attempted to attack a security post. Initial action resulted in two militants killed; security forces pursued others as they tried to flee, ultimately neutralising seven more, the sources indicated. Authorities recovered motorcycles, weapons, and ammunition from the scene. One soldier was injured during the exchange and was taken to hospital for treatment.

A separate operation in Turbat resulted in the deaths of two militants identified by sources as members of Fitna al-Hindustan. The intelligence-based operation (IBO), part of Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-3, was initiated based on information about militant activity in the area. Security personnel and the militants exchanged fire, with two being killed as a result. Authorities said a search operation continued as efforts were underway to find any militants who escaped.

Security operations have intensified following an earlier incident where six India-backed militants were killed in Operation Shaaban-II in Saran Tangi, Balochistan, with nine individuals detained. Prior to this, security personnel foiled an attempted disruption on the N-25 highway near Kalat, killing five militants and safely rescuing 23 hostages. Large quantities of weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered, along with six trucks, three buses, and two cars.

According to security sources, operations against militants in the region are ongoing.
