Security Forces Kill 19 India-Sponsored Terrorists in Balochistan: ISPR

The Pakistan military announced on Wednesday that security forces have killed 19 terrorists associated with Indian-backed groups in a series of operations in Balochistan since 21 September. According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), intelligence agencies had identified multiple hideouts of Indian-sponsored militants in the Shaban area near Quetta that posed threats to local residents.

The ISPR reported that a clearance operation by security forces commenced in the general area of Shaban, District Quetta, on 21 September 2026. During this campaign, forces effectively engaged and cleared several terrorist hideouts after heavy exchanges of fire, resulting in the deaths of 13 terrorists. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the sites. The operation is ongoing, with security forces seeking to eliminate residual threats in the area.

In addition to the Shaban operation, security personnel carried out intelligence-based operations in District Kech and District Quetta West on 22 and 23 September. These engagements resulted in the deaths of six more terrorists following intense gunfights. Further weapons and ammunition were seized during the raids.

The ISPR announced that during the clashes, Subedar Muhammad Jamil, 39, was martyred while carrying out his duties. The statement honoured his sacrifice.

Military officials affirmed that the ongoing counter-terrorism efforts are part of the "Azm-e-Istehkam" vision, which was approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan. The campaign aims to eradicate foreign-backed terrorism in Pakistan and will continue its operations at full pace, it stated.

Security forces and law enforcement agencies reiterated their commitment to combating terrorism and maintaining security in the region.
