The Punjab government has officially unveiled a dedicated logo to give the Basant festival a unified and recognizable identity, marking an important step toward organized and officially branded celebrations. The newly introduced logo prominently features Lahore Fort alongside colorful kites, symbolizing the historic and cultural roots of Basant while reflecting its deep connection with Punjab’s heritage.
Designed with bright colors, floral patterns, and traditional motifs, the logo captures the lively spirit and seasonal joy associated with Basant. Elements of Punjabi culture have been carefully incorporated, including traditional musical instruments such as the dhol and visual representations of cultural characters that are commonly associated with local folklore and celebrations. The borders and lower section of the logo are framed with classic Punjabi design elements, enhancing the festive and energetic feel of the artwork.
Officials said special artistic techniques were used in the design, with a focus on flowers and bold color combinations to make the logo visually striking and culturally meaningful. Going forward, all official Basant-related activities, events, and promotions will be organized under this single branding to ensure consistency and authenticity.
To prevent misuse, fake posters, and unauthorized events, the government has also granted the logo official trademark status. Authorities confirmed that the use of this approved logo will be mandatory on all permits, banners, and promotional materials related to Basant celebrations, reinforcing regulation, transparency, and a standardized approach to the festival’s revival and management.
