It supports one-year full-time master’s programs and is available for courses offered within the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and Faculty of Social Sciences. The scholarship is open to applicants from all African countries as well as selected Commonwealth nations, including Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Maldives, and several Caribbean and Pacific states. To be eligible, applicants must be classified as overseas students for fee purposes and must hold an offer to study a full-time master’s degree (including MRes programs) at the University of Nottingham for the 2026–27 academic year. Current students or graduates of the University of Nottingham, as well as those already studying in the UK, are not eligible to apply.
Successful candidates will receive either a 50% or 100% tuition fee waiver, depending on the scholarship award. While the scholarship does not cover living expenses, it significantly reduces the overall cost of studying in the UK and allows students to focus on academic and research excellence. Applicants must first apply for admission to their chosen master’s program and secure an offer before submitting a scholarship application through the university’s online system. Some courses may require an application fee.
