In the local bullion market, gold prices experienced a sharp decline while silver reached a historic high. The Karachi Sarafa Bazaar reported that the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs. 4,578, settling at Rs. 420,600. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold fell by Rs. 3,924, reaching Rs. 360,597. In contrast, silver prices surged by Rs. 34 per tola, hitting an all-time peak of Rs. 5,100. On the global front, gold prices also saw a decrease of $44 per ounce, closing at $3,995.
