Pakistan has earned ₨11.1 billion from kinnow exports in just 45 days, even after the Afghan market closure. Effective coordination between the Ministry of Commerce, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, exporters, and overseas trade missions enabled shipments to be redirected to alternative international markets.
This strategic shift safeguarded growers and exporters, reinforced Pakistan’s reputation as a reliable citrus supplier, and boosted foreign exchange earnings. The strong performance has increased confidence across the kinnow value chain and highlights the potential for growth in Pakistan’s agricultural exports.
