The Punjab Education Department has launched a new digital application to monitor and evaluate teachers’ performance across the province. The “Teaching Practice Analysis Form” app, integrated into the Human Resource Management System (HRMS) portal, requires all teachers to upload daily records of their teaching activities. As part of the evaluation, teachers must also submit a short classroom video, limited to 5 MB.
The initiative aims to digitally document professional skills, enhance education quality, standardize monitoring across schools, and strengthen accountability within the teaching workforce.
In parallel, the Punjab government approved a stipend package of over Rs. 4.21 billion for college intern teachers, benefiting more than 8,000 interns. Intermediate-level interns will receive Rs. 55,000 per month for seven months, while BS-level interns will be paid Rs. 65,000 per month for ten months. Upon completion, interns will receive experience certificates to support employability. To promote inclusivity, 404 seats are reserved for minorities, 243 for persons with disabilities, and 40 for transgender individuals under the internship program.
