Zayn Malik revealed on the Call Her Daddy podcast that he gifted his daughter, Khai, £500 (around $700) after she lost a baby tooth. Speaking with host Alex Cooper, Malik shared his approach to parenting, emphasizing his desire to provide generously for Khai, whom he shares with model Gigi Hadid. He contrasted her upbringing with his own modest childhood, noting that their reality is shaped by their high-profile careers.
“Her father is a global musician, her mother is a world-class model, and her reality is naturally different from others,” Malik said, adding that traditional ideas of “normal” are relative in their household. He acknowledged some may view the Tooth Fairy gift as excessive but explained that he feels entitled to provide for his child as he sees fit, having earned his success through hard work.
Malik also spoke about his relationship with Hadid, saying he will always have love and respect for her as Khai’s mother, though he questioned whether he was truly “in love” at the time of their relationship.
On his professional front, Malik is preparing to release his fifth solo studio album, Konnakol, in April. The lead single, “Die for Me,” has already dropped, and he is set to begin an arena tour across North America, South America, and the U.K. starting in May.
