The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced 2,800 new job openings for low-educated individuals to serve as chowkidars (watchmen) in schools across 28 districts. Officials confirmed that all appointments will be made through public advertisements, open competition, and a strict merit-based process to ensure transparency and fairness.
Under the new recruitment plan, Mansehra has been allocated the highest number of positions with 377 posts, followed by Bannu with 263 and Mardan with 256. Peshawar will fill 162 chowkidar positions, Laki Marwat 160, and Abbottabad 154, reflecting the government’s effort to distribute opportunities across the province. This initiative aims to enhance school security while providing employment opportunities to a large segment of low-educated job seekers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
