The Sindh Police has launched a new digital facility to make traffic management and e-challan services more accessible to citizens. IG Sindh, Ghulam Nabi Memon, inaugurated the Traffic Helpline 1915 at the Central Police Office in Karachi, along with the SSP Traffic South Office at Artillery Maidan. The initiative aims to provide easy access to traffic guidance and electronic challan (e-challan) services, enabling citizens to manage traffic-related issues efficiently.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior officials, including the Additional IG Karachi, DIGs Traffic and Training, SSPs Traffic South, AVLC, PDIT, and other high-ranking officers. During the briefing, DIG Traffic Karachi, Peer Muhammad Shah, explained that the Traffic Helpline 1915 has been fully digitalized, allowing citizens to access e-challan information and other traffic services from their homes.
Speaking at the event, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon highlighted that modern, well-equipped offices improve the efficiency and performance of the traffic police. He emphasized that the new e-challan service and support centers are playing a key role in traffic management by providing quick guidance, resolving complaints, and enhancing communication between the public and traffic authorities.
Memon directed that the Traffic Helpline 1915 should operate 24 hours a day to ensure uninterrupted support. He added that traffic discipline, public guidance, and citizen convenience remain top priorities for the Sindh Police, and the introduction of digital facilities represents a significant step forward in improving public service delivery and modernizing traffic management in the province.
