Samsung has officially confirmed the Galaxy S26 series launch for February 25 and has opened pre-reservations with a promotional $30 or €30 discount for users who sign up for email notifications. While the company has not fully confirmed specifications, leaks indicate that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature cutting-edge display and performance upgrades. The S26 Ultra is expected to include a 6.9-inch 10-bit Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 1440p+ resolution, an adaptive 1–120Hz LTPO refresh rate, and a new high-strength Gorilla Glass Armor 2 with anti-reflection treatment. One of the most talked-about rumored features is a per-pixel privacy display that allows selective visibility for sensitive content.
Charging and battery improvements are also expected, with wired charging increasing to 60W and wireless charging to 25W, while the battery remains at 5,000mAh. Users will need compatible magnetic cases for Qi2 magnetic charging, as the phone itself will not include built-in magnets. Performance-wise, the S26 Ultra is rumored to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 globally, offering 12GB standard RAM with a 16GB option and storage tiers of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The S26 and S26+ models may continue to use Exynos 2600 in select regions.
The camera setup is expected to see incremental improvements rather than a full overhaul, featuring a 200MP main sensor, 50MP 5x periscope telephoto, 50MP ultrawide, and 10MP 3x telephoto lenses, all with enhanced anti-flare coatings. Rumors also suggest possible Linux terminal support via Android Virtualization Framework and an upgraded Bixby assistant with AI capabilities for third-party app integration.
Design changes include a slightly thinner and lighter body at 7.9mm and 214g, a small raised camera module, and multiple color options such as Black, White, Silver Shadow, Sky Blue, Cobalt Violet, and Pink Gold. The S Pen will remain included. Connectivity features are expected to include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, dual SIM support, and satellite navigation via GLONASS, GPS, Galileo, QZSS, and BDS.
Expected pricing starts from €1,470 for the base 12GB/256GB model, with pre-order incentives likely to include trade-in bonuses and storage upgrades. The Galaxy S26 Ultra represents Samsung’s continued focus on high-end performance, advanced display technology, and AI-driven software enhancements in its flagship lineup.
