Faisalabad Traffic Police Launch Easy Online System for Checking E-Challans Under Safe City Project

The traffic police in Faisalabad have introduced a simpler way for residents to check their e-challans online, resolving a major inconvenience faced by motorists. The new system was officially launched last week under the Safe City Project, aiming to make traffic management more efficient and citizen-friendly.

Residents can now verify their e-challans through the official Punjab Safe Cities Authority website by entering their vehicle or motorcycle registration number and National ID card number. Any issued fine appears immediately, eliminating the need to visit offices in person.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police Malik Tariq Zaman, the e-challan system has also been extended to other major cities, including Rawalpindi and Gujranwala. He urged citizens to comply with traffic regulations, noting that violations captured by Safe City cameras, such as not wearing a seat belt or using illegal registration plates, automatically generate fines.

Motorcyclists have been specifically advised to wear helmets, as failure to do so will result in penalties. The SSP emphasized that strict enforcement of traffic laws is essential to reducing road accidents and saving lives, reaffirming the department’s commitment to improving public safety through technology and awareness.
