Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif departed for a two-day official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain on Wednesday, where he will engage in high-level discussions with the Bahraini leadership. He is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, several federal ministers, and senior government officials.

During the trip, PM Shehbaz is scheduled to meet King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. Talks will centre on strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, energy, technology, education, and culture.

The visit aims to deepen Pakistan–Bahrain relations, which have long been marked by warmth and mutual respect. Both sides are expected to explore new opportunities for partnership, expand economic collaboration, and promote stronger people-to-people ties.

Pakistan views the visit as part of its ongoing efforts to build a strategic and results-focused partnership with Bahrain.

In September, Bahrain extended emergency humanitarian assistance to Pakistan following severe floods, sending a Boeing 707F aircraft loaded with relief supplies, including tents, electric generators, water purification pumps, blankets, and plastic mats—reflecting the close and supportive relationship between the two nations.
