PML-N President Nawaz Sharif has approved the Gujranwala Mass Transit Project during a high-level meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Defense Minister Khawaja Asif. Speaking in his capacity as party president, Nawaz Sharif emphasized that the residents of Gujranwala have long awaited a modern and efficient transport system, noting that such a project should have been implemented years ago. Punjab Transport Minister Bilal Akbar provided detailed insights into the project, explaining that the Gujranwala Mass Transit system will cover over 30 kilometers, stretching from Eminabad to Gakkhar. By introducing clean and efficient transport options, the initiative represents a significant step toward modernizing public transportation in one of Punjab’s largest cities and addressing the growing demand for sustainable urban mobility.
