Punjab Enforces Zero-Tolerance Policy on Bribery and Misconduct Within PERA

0 0

Punjab has implemented a strict zero-tolerance policy against bribery, misconduct, and abuse of authority within the Punjab Enforcement and Regulator Authority (PERA), marking a significant move toward cleaner and more transparent governance. The new policy is designed to improve public service delivery, ensure fair treatment of citizens, and hold enforcement officers fully accountable for their actions.

As part of the reforms, PERA teams will operate under stronger real-time monitoring and upgraded complaint-handling systems. Any official found misusing authority or engaging in unethical behavior will face immediate disciplinary action. The government aims to restore public confidence by eliminating practices that previously led to delays, harassment, or unfair decision-making.

The accountability drive also includes the introduction of digital tracking tools to monitor operations, surprise inspections to assess on-ground conduct, and new channels for citizens to report wrongdoing quickly and safely. These measures are expected to create a more efficient enforcement structure, encourage professionalism, and promote a culture of transparency across the entire system.
