Islamabad: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued a crucial advisory for citizens to collect their Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) within the specified timeframe to avoid complications.
In an official statement shared on social media, NADRA warned that CNICs not collected on time may be permanently discarded. Under the updated policy, applicants must collect their ID cards within three months of the designated delivery date. Failure to do so will require reapplication and payment of the applicable fees.
To make the process more convenient, NADRA encouraged citizens to use the Pak-ID mobile application or opt for home delivery services at the time of application. These options allow CNICs to be delivered directly to applicants’ addresses, eliminating the need for repeated visits to NADRA offices.
Officials stressed that timely collection is essential to avoid delays in accessing government services, voting, banking, and other official procedures that require a valid CNIC. Citizens are urged to check their application status through NADRA’s online portal or mobile app to ensure smooth collection.
