For PhD candidates, Employer Fellows receive a total stipend of $16,000 per academic year, along with additional stipends, grants, or assistantships to match the funding level of other PhD programs. They also participate in one paid summer internship with a GEM Employer Member and receive full tuition and fees for up to five years. PhD Associate Fellows similarly receive full tuition and fees, along with a minimum stipend of $16,000 per year.

The GEM Fellowship not only covers tuition and living expenses but also provides opportunities for industry exposure, research experience, and professional networking, ensuring fellows are well-prepared for leadership roles in their fields. The fellowship’s deadline for applications is November 10, 2025, offering an excellent pathway for international students aiming to advance their STEM education in the USA.
