Babar Azam has now equaled Saim Ayub and Umar Akmal for the most ducks in T20 international cricket, reaching a total of 10 scoreless dismissals. While Saim Ayub reached this mark in just 50 innings and Umar Akmal in 79, Babar achieved it after 125 matches.
His most recent duck came during Pakistan’s chase of 185 against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi, when Dushmantha Chameera trapped him LBW after only two balls. This early dismissal added pressure on Pakistan’s middle order and left fans disappointed with the start.
Despite this setback, Babar Azam has opportunities to recover as the tri-series continues and the 2026 T20 World Cup approaches, with cricket fans eager to see him regain form in upcoming matches.
