Pakistan has announced a 15-member T20 squad for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka, highlighting the return of all-rounder Shadab Khan following his recovery from shoulder surgery. Salman Ali Agha will continue to lead the team as captain, while senior players Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi have been rested in line with the team’s rotation policy.

Selectors are using this series as an opportunity to test team combinations and strategies ahead of the T20 World Cup scheduled to begin in February. The squad also features uncapped wicketkeeper-batter Khawaja Nafay, who has received his maiden call-up to the national side.

Pakistan is set to play three T20 internationals in Dambulla on January 7, 9, and 11. The matches will serve as crucial preparation for the ICC event, allowing the team management to evaluate players’ form, test combinations, and fine-tune tactics ahead of the global tournament.
