Peshawar Corps clinched victory in the 50th Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Polo & Tent Pegging Championship 2025, held at the Jinnah Polo Fields in Lahore. The event highlighted both competitive spirit and the Pakistan Army’s long-standing tradition of excellence in equestrian sports.
The championship’s closing ceremony was attended by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, COAS & CDF, who served as the Chief Guest. The Minister of Interior, Chief Secretary Punjab, and a large gathering of spectators also attended, reflecting the event’s prominence. Upon arrival, the Chief Guest was received by the Corps Commander Lahore and the Chairman of the Pakistan Polo Federation before proceeding to distribute prizes to winners and participants.
Eight teams competed in the championship, showcasing exceptional skill, strategy, and sportsmanship. Peshawar Corps emerged as champions, while Gujranwala Corps secured the runner-up position. The competition not only tested riding and precision skills but also celebrated teamwork, discipline, and the Army’s commitment to promoting sports among its personnel.
The event reinforced Pakistan Army’s legacy in polo and tent pegging, demonstrating dedication to tradition, athletic excellence, and fostering camaraderie within its ranks.
