Pakistan is moving forward with plans to host a T20 tri-series in November 2025 despite Afghanistan’s recent withdrawal, with the Pakistan Cricket Board reportedly approaching Zimbabwe as a replacement team. Media sources indicate that discussions are underway between PCB and the Zimbabwe Cricket Board, making it likely that the series will now include Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe.

The tournament, still set to be held in Pakistan, will proceed as scheduled, with an updated fixture list expected to be released soon. Following the Afghanistan Cricket Board’s announcement of non-participation, PCB confirmed the series would continue with the remaining teams and that efforts to secure a third participant were in progress.
