While the iPhone 15 Pro series has been receiving praise for its impressive features, a problem is emerging for some early users – overheating. Since the September 22 launch, reports of these new iPhones getting unusually warm have been cropping up.

One user on an Apple support forum shared, “I just got the iPhone 15 Pro today, and it’s so hot I can’t even hold it for very long.” Another user added, “I got the iPhone 15 Pro as well, and it’s overheating when I’m on a phone call for like 8-10 minutes.”

On social media, iPhone 15 Pro owners are posting videos using temperature scanners, showing their devices hitting temperatures between 102 to a scorching 107 degrees Fahrenheit.

Engineer Mohit Verma tweeted, “The natural titanium iPhone 15 Pro gets extremely hot, so much so that it becomes difficult to hold. Furthermore, it heats up after just a 2-minute FaceTime call or when scrolling through reels for 8-10 minutes.”

Despite users closing apps and background services to reduce heat, the iPhones continue to run warm. One Reddit user expressed frustration, “Photos and videos make it super hot, charging makes it super hot, using it for YouTube and social media is also warm, like why is this so inefficiently heat-managed, Apple?”

As of now, Apple has not officially responded to the overheating complaints. However, with the number of reports and attention from the media, it’s likely they’ll have to address this issue soon. Users are eagerly awaiting a solution to ensure their new iPhone 15 Pro models don’t suffer from uncomfortable overheating.
