A viral video circulating on social media claiming to show Saudi Arabia’s futuristic “Sky Stadium” has been confirmed to be fake. The video, which many users believed represented the design of a stadium for the 2034 FIFA World Cup, was not an official project but an AI-generated concept.

According to Arab media reports, the video does not correspond to any real development approved by the Saudi government. The creator of the video later clarified that it was produced entirely with artificial intelligence as a conceptual visualization, not as part of any actual plan related to Saudi Arabia’s World Cup preparations.

While the so-called Sky Stadium does not exist, Saudi Arabia is indeed moving forward with major infrastructure projects for the 2034 FIFA World Cup. The kingdom plans to build 15 advanced stadiums equipped with the latest technology and sustainable energy systems to host the global event.

Among these confirmed projects is the Cloud Stadium, which will be located in the futuristic NEOM mega city. The Cloud Stadium will be built approximately 350 meters (1,150 feet) above ground level and will accommodate around 46,000 spectators. Designed with environmental sustainability in mind, the stadium will operate entirely on solar and wind energy.

Official sources have confirmed that construction of the NEOM Cloud Stadium is scheduled to begin in 2027 and is expected to be completed by 2032, well ahead of the World Cup. The project reflects Saudi Arabia’s broader vision of combining innovation, sustainability, and world-class architecture as it prepares to host one of the most significant sporting events in history.
