Dubai Police Introduce AI-Powered Biometric Tunnel to Identify Individuals by Walking Style

Dubai Police have introduced a groundbreaking Biometric Tunnel capable of identifying individuals based on their walking style. Unveiled at GITEX Global 2025, the AI-powered system was developed by Dubiometrics and works by creating a unique “motion fingerprint” for each person. By analyzing a person’s gait—including rhythm, joint movement, and other physical characteristics—the system can identify individuals in just five seconds.

This innovative technology is designed to enhance forensic capabilities by integrating gait analysis with other biometric tools such as facial and body recognition. It provides a new layer of identification that can be especially valuable in criminal investigations when traditional methods, such as fingerprinting or facial recognition, are unavailable or insufficient.
