CDA Advances Plans for State-of-the-Art Aga Khan University Teaching Hospital in Islamabad

The Capital Development Authority has moved forward with a major healthcare initiative as Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa met senior officials of Aga Khan University in Islamabad to advance plans for a modern teaching and tertiary care hospital in the federal capital. During the meeting, Randhawa reiterated CDA’s full support for the establishment of the Aga Khan University Teaching Hospital, calling it a transformative step for Islamabad’s healthcare system. He noted that the project will enhance clinical services, strengthen medical education, and boost research capabilities, ultimately improving access to advanced healthcare for the rapidly growing population of the city.

Aga Khan University’s Chief of Facilities and Administrative Services, Aziz Jan, shared details about the hospital’s design and vision, emphasizing its focus on world-class healthcare delivery, modern equipment, and expanded treatment capacity. The facility is expected to introduce upgraded diagnostic services, specialized care units, and a comprehensive teaching environment to support future medical professionals in Pakistan.

Randhawa also highlighted CDA’s interest in benefiting from Aga Khan University’s expertise to upgrade healthcare at the CDA Hospital for employees. He expressed willingness to collaborate with the university to modernize CDA-run educational institutions as part of a broader effort to improve public services. He stated that enhancing healthcare infrastructure, improving service delivery, and expanding modern facilities for Islamabad’s residents remain key priorities for the Capital Development Authority.
