The Ministry of IT and Telecommunication has launched the second batch of the SkillBridge Apprenticeship Program, offering recent IT graduates a chance to gain paid industry experience and hands-on exposure to real-world projects, while securing placements in Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB)-registered companies. The program is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional skills in the IT sector.
Selected participants will engage in a six-month full-time apprenticeship, receiving a monthly stipend of Rs. 30,000. The initiative provides graduates with practical technical expertise, workplace exposure, and essential professional skills to enhance employability. Eligibility requires a degree or transcript issued within the past two years and a minimum CGPA of 2.5. Batch 2 is set to begin on February 20, 2026.
The online application portal is open from January 26 to February 10, 2026. New applicants must register, while returning users should update their profiles. The process includes creating a profile, submitting a resume, and uploading required documents such as academic transcripts and CNIC.
IT and ITeS companies across Pakistan are invited to participate as host organizations. Newly interested companies must register on the portal, and existing hosts need to update their profiles. Host companies are expected to provide full-time placements for the six-month duration of the program.
The SkillBridge Apprenticeship Program is a national initiative under the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, in collaboration with PSEB, and aligns with the Digital Pakistan agenda. It aims to strengthen industry-academia linkages, enhance workforce readiness, and develop a talent pool equipped to meet the growing demands of Pakistan’s IT sector.
