Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation Opens Applications for Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO)

The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation, Pakistan’s leading public sector utility, is inviting applications for the position of Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO). The organization is responsible for providing clean and safe drinking water and sewerage services to the people of Karachi. Under the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation Act 2023, the corporation is undergoing full corporatization and organizational reforms focused on performance-based management. To support this transition, KW&SC seeks a qualified, dynamic, and committed professional to lead its human resource division.

The CHRO will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective management of all employees. The selected candidate will oversee recruitment, employee relations, HR policy implementation, staff mobility, performance evaluation, welfare, training, and gender inclusivity in accordance with the corporation’s service rules and board directives. The role also involves the administration of HRMIS and fostering a culture of compliance and professionalism.

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree specializing in Human Resources Management from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission. They should possess at least fifteen years of post-qualification experience, including a minimum of five years in a senior HR leadership position in a large public or private sector organization. The eligible age range for candidates is between 45 and 65 years.

The position is based in Karachi and will be offered on a three-year contract, extendable based on satisfactory performance. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews, and no travel or daily allowance will be provided.
