Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Islamabad for a historic two-day official visit, marking his first trip to Pakistan. He was warmly received at Nur Khan Airbase by President Arif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with a ceremonial 21-gun salute honoring his arrival. The visit follows an invitation extended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
During his stay, President Prabowo is scheduled to hold in-depth discussions with Pakistan’s political and military leadership, focusing on enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors including trade, investment, defense, health, information technology, climate change, education, and culture. The talks will also explore ways to strengthen regional and global partnerships.
Pakistan and Indonesia share a long-standing, close, and cordial relationship built on shared values and mutual interests. President Prabowo Subianto’s visit provides a key opportunity to consolidate bilateral ties, expand mutually beneficial cooperation, and further advance the strategic partnership between the two friendly nations.
