Pakistan’s rising squash talent Ashab Irfan has secured his first-ever PSA World Tour title, marking a significant breakthrough in his professional career. Competing at the Richardson Wealth Men’s Vancouver Open 2025, a PSA World Tour Copper category event, the 21-year-old delivered a commanding straight-sets victory over England’s Sam Todd in the final. Seeded fourth in the tournament, Ashab completed the match in just 43 minutes with scores of 11-9, 11-1, 11-5, showcasing both skill and composure on court. The tournament featured a total prize purse of $31,250 and attracted emerging players from the international squash circuit. Ashab’s dominant performance throughout the event underlined his potential as a serious contender in future PSA competitions. His win not only highlights his growing presence on the global stage but also brings renewed attention to Pakistan’s rich squash legacy. Fellow Pakistani player Noor Zaman also participated in the event, reaching the quarterfinals before bowing out.
