Chief of the Citizens Liaison Program (CLP), Zubair Habib, has stressed the importance of strict adherence to traffic laws, stating that every citizen must avoid illegal shortcuts as modern surveillance and monitoring technologies now make traffic violations easy to detect. He noted that the era of evading penalties through non-compliance is over, as advanced systems ensure accountability on the roads.

Speaking at a press conference, Zubair Habib emphasized that effective traffic management is not solely the responsibility of law enforcement agencies but requires active cooperation from the public. He highlighted that citizen support plays a vital role in ensuring safety, reducing accidents, and improving overall public welfare in a densely populated city like Karachi.

He further assured that if motorists follow traffic rules, respect lane discipline, and cooperate with traffic police, Karachi’s traffic system has the potential to be transformed significantly. Drawing a comparison, he said that with collective responsibility and consistent enforcement, the city’s roads could function as smoothly and efficiently as those in London, leading to better urban mobility, reduced congestion, and a safer daily commuting experience for all residents.
