Punjab Launches Model Village Programme to Upgrade Municipal Services in 469 Villages

The Punjab government is set to provide modern municipal services to villages as part of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s Model Village Programme. In the initial phase, 469 villages across 10 divisions have been selected for development. Punjab Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique, along with senior officials including Local Government Secretary Shakeel Ahmed Mian, reviewed the progress of the programme and the Lahore Development Programme.

The initiative focuses on enhancing infrastructure, sanitation, and public facilities, aiming to improve living standards in rural areas and promote sustainable development throughout the province.
