Rawalpindi Traffic Police Issue 1.1 Million Fines in 2025, Collect Rs1.1 Billion

Traffic authorities in Rawalpindi issued more than 1.1 million tickets for traffic violations in 2025, collecting approximately Rs 1.1 billion in fines that were deposited into the national treasury, according to City Traffic Police data. The statistics reflect intensified enforcement efforts across the district throughout the year.

Over 1,300 traffic police officers were deployed to monitor roads, and 3,257 cases were registered for serious violations. Officials reported that enforcement activities increased by 44 percent compared to the previous year, while a record 328,000 driving licences were issued in 2025.

Driving without a licence remained the most frequent offence, with over 213,200 tickets issued, and motorcyclists accounted for the highest number of violations, receiving more than 653,000 tickets throughout the year.
