Applications are now open for the ANSO Scholarship 2026 in China, offering fully funded opportunities for international students to pursue Master’s and PhD degrees. Managed by the Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO), this scholarship is designed to foster global scientific collaboration, innovation, and sustainability. Each year, ANSO selects around 500 highly motivated scholars to study at leading Chinese institutions, including the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS).

The scholarship provides comprehensive financial coverage, including full tuition, monthly stipends, health insurance, a one-time international travel allowance, and visa and residence permit expenses. Applicants can also benefit from application fee waivers, and in many cases, IELTS is not required; simple proof of English proficiency is sufficient. This allows students to focus entirely on research and academic growth while enjoying modern labs, advanced research facilities, and global networks.

The University of Science and Technology of China, located in Hefei, is renowned for its programs in science, technology, and engineering, producing researchers and innovators who contribute significantly to scientific advancement. UCAS, based in Beijing and affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, offers access to more than 100 research institutes across China, providing students with unique opportunities to engage in high-level scientific projects and collaborate with leading scientists.

Eligibility requirements include being a non-Chinese citizen, meeting the age criteria (born after January 1, 1996, for Master’s; after January 1, 1991, for PhD), demonstrating academic excellence, and fulfilling language proficiency requirements depending on the medium of instruction. Applicants must also meet university-specific criteria such as GPA requirements, relevant academic background, and recommendation letters, and can apply to only one of the two universities under the scholarship.

Required documents for USTC applicants include an application form, CV, degree certificates and transcripts, recommendation letters, research proposal or study plan, passport copy, language proficiency proof, non-criminal record certificate, and physical examination form. UCAS applicants need an online application form, personal statement, academic transcripts, two recommendation letters, passport information, language proficiency proof, health certificate, and no criminal record certificate, along with any additional supporting documents.

To apply, candidates must choose either USTC or UCAS, complete the online application on the respective university portal, select the ANSO Scholarship category, upload all required documents, and submit the application before the official deadline of January 31, 2026. This scholarship offers international students a unique chance to study in China, access world-class research supervision, and advance their academic and professional careers with full financial support.
